Park Shin-hye & the Gayageum

Okay, so the musical drama You've Fallen For Me was renamed become Heartstring. It's cool! I followed the contest, but I forgot the name of my choice. LOL.

I heard that the lead actress Park Shin-hye was practicing the gayageum, a traditional twelve-stringed Korean instrument that her character majors in at the performing arts college. Despite not having to actually play the music for the drama herself, Park is determined to learn the instrument for her character, who grew up learning the gayageum from her grandfather, and knows it like the back of her hand.

She’s reportedly been taking lessons since being cast for the role, and has even developed calluses on her fingers from practicing. (The gayageum is played like a sitting guitar of sorts — you hold down notes with the left hand and pluck/vibrate the strings with the right hand.) I love actors who really put serious effort into their roles, and I’m just oddly proud of Park Shin-hye for taking the time to learn something that she really otherwise has no use for. It makes her even more endearing (not that she needed any help in that department).

She said, “Kyu-won is a character who was influenced by her grandfather and grew up with the gayageum, as one. That Kyu-won meets Lee Shin (Jung Yon-hwa) and Kim Suk-hyun (Song Chang-eui) and she goes through a period of falling down and hitting up against walls, in order to realize her true dreams and really grow — I want to portray this side of her beautifully.”

Fellow castmate Song Chang-eui has also taken to his role, which is a lot closer to his real-life experience acting on the stage in both musical and traditional theater. Song said, “Kim Suk-hyun is both sincere and playful, which is actually a lot like me in real life, so I feel affection for this character.” He plays a theater director who will direct the university’s 100th anniversary showcase, and in helping these young people discover their dreams, he will rediscover his own as well.

You’ve Fallen for Me premieres June 29 on MBC (Korea, of course), following Best Love.

Lee Min-ho's Shower Scene

My friend Maya said that she's had a crush on Lee Min-ho. Hahaha .... I don't know why only now she had a crush on Minho. I still have a crush on him since watching Boys Before Flowers. Then more like him after he played in the drama Personal Taste.

Today, for Maya, I was browsing about Lee Min-ho and found this news. And look at his picture! Aw! Makes me drooling.

On May 25th, SBS’s “City Hunter” released a set of sizzling still-cuts of actor Lee Min Ho showing off his perfect body in a shower scene.

According to the producers the scene was shot back on the 15th and is considered an important detail to understanding the overall plot for the drama. Lee Min Ho plays the role of ‘Yoon Sung’, an undercover Blue House official that is forced to hide his exceptional athletic skills in order to keep his identity hidden.

After completing judo training with his co-workers, ‘Yoon Sung’ insists on showering alone in an effort to hide his past battle scars.

Through still-cuts released earlier, we already know that he’s trained in not only gunnery, but Filipino martial arts and judo as well. As it turns out, he’s also taken up aerobic exercises and swimming to further sculpt his body for the drama.

With such dedication, “City Hunter” is certainly shaping up to be one of the most anticipated dramas of the year. The pilot episode is scheduled to air on May 25th (in Korea)!

So, Maya, these are for you! Enjoy!

Lee Min-ho 's Hunter Look

"City Hunter" Lee Min-ho has attention focused on his 8 different 'hunter looks'.

Lee Min-ho has the role of MIT doctorate Lee Yoon-seong, a Blue House National Communications Team agent in the SBS drama "City Hunter" coming this 25th. He is bright, optimistic and friendly, fights for justice but secretly fights with loneliness.

As much as it is an ambivalent character, Lee Min-ho is engaged in the drama like no other. Along with various actions and deep inner character performances, he is also taking concern to his chic fashion style in the drama.

Lee Min-ho displays enchanting 'hunter looks' in the drama. His long limbs and similar 'hunter looks' have netizen's focused on him.

He has been debating with stylists and the production staff to be able to perfectly express the "City Hunter" through fashion and managed to come up with the 'hunter look' after a long time of discussion.

Amongst the 8 different 'hunter looks', they look dandy and sharp. Simple but sophisticated long jacket and loose T-shirt, and the basic pants express a neat and stylish atmosphere. Those looking serious due to its neat style were given highlights with pink and red. Silky outfits were also matched with metallic buttons and spangle looks.

Also, to express the complicated character more symbolically, he created an unbalanced hair style. A slightly wavy 'bling perm' and diagonally cut bang is fit right in with the ambivalent character.

The monotone, simple but stylish City Hunter look blends in well with Lee Min-ho's hair style and pointy nose as well as his sharp eyes and expressions.

Lee Min-ho's stylist says, "rather than just leading the trend, we thought it more important to capture a concept that fits right in with the character. Lee Min-ho's "City Hunter" looks have been created through a long term of concentration and analyzing so hopefully, it can fully express Lee Yoon-seong".

The Icon Style Yoon Eun-hye

No wonder that Yoon Eun-hye is always being a trendsetter and style icon, especially in Korea.

She has done it again in creating a new must-have fashion item – this time, it’s a handbag she’s been sporting in her latest SBS drama, “Lie To Me”.

The pilot episode was broadcasted on May 9th, where Yoon Eun Hye was introduced wearing a white knit with plain blue jeans, complete with a grey, off-the-shoulder square bag by Louis Quatorze.

During the next episode, the actress was seen wearing a bag of the same design, but in a white version, causing viewers to nickname it as the “Yoon Eun Hye Bag”.

After spotting the bag on “Lie To Me”, many netizens began to look into where to purchase this “Yoon Eun Hye Bag”. As a result, the bag apparently sold out in both stores and online, marking it as another item Yoon Eun Hye has helped to market just by wearing it in her drama productions.

A staff member of Louis Quatorzes’ promotional team, Kim In Sub, recently stated, “Ever since the broadcast, we have been getting endless queries asking about Yoon Eun Hye’s bag. Due to the hot response, we’ve decided to make re-orders, and customers will be able to make new purchases soon.”

Her fans and netizens are always watching every outfit she wore, in her everyday life and in her films
On September 2010, the actress recently uploaded pictures of herself at the Japan Haneda Airport on her Twitter. Taken by her friend, these pictures confirm Yoon Eun Hye’s unique sense of style.

In the pictures, her face is hidden deeply under her hat, and she’s also wearing a colorful leopard print scarf, short shorts, and black knee-length boots. What caught the eyes of netizens was that her beige colored knit top was in fact see through, where you could see her bra underneath.

Netizens responded with, “People usually wouldn’t suit wearing that, but it’s sexy”, “Looks like Yoon Eun Hye purposely gets ready for paparazzi photos. Cute”, “Her legs are so skinny.”

It seems she was always getting ready to be photographed by paparazzi ^^

Lie to Me. Eun-hye's Bottomless Fashion

Actress Yoon Eun-hye who is a class 5 government official is being talked about.

On the 3rd episode of SBS drama "Lie to Me", Gong Ah-jeong (Yoon Eun-hye) went to work bottomless.

Gong Ah-jeong is a class 5 government official worker at the Ministry of Culture who passed her Civil Service Examination. She works in a relatively free atmosphere and wears her outfits according to it too.

She wore a grey shirt and a red skirt to work this day. Then she wore a loose shirt with shorts, covered by the shirt and looking bottomless.

Her outfits are fashionable to the extent that it's out of step of the usual idea of what an official outfit should look like. Viewers have been speaking their minds on the bulletin after the broadcast. Many say that her outfits don't go along with her job as a class 5 government official.

They say, "This is unacceptable even in a normal company. It's hard to believe that a government worker goes to work like that", "Shouldn't the character blend in with the job she has? Looking at her outfit, she's not a government worker at all".

However, others say, "As a romantic comedy, this much should be allowed", "Fashionable Gong Ah-jeong is adding to the fun of the drama", and more.
